Based on my research, R1280DBs seems like the one to go for, for the updated remote and subwoofer output and various inputs like bluetooth, optical/coax.
R1700BT has better bass and highs vs the R1280DBs with the better mids.
Online forums have also suggested the R1700BT sounds better than the R1700BTs
Compared to other deal with the MR4s, these R1280DBs have similar sound with more inputs at $15 more.
