Hamilton sunscreen range is now 1/2 price at Chemist Warehouse, something that happens once a year.
Given that Aldi’s Ombra Face Sunscreen has gone up from $3.99 to $4.99 for 60ml ($8.33/100ml), the 200ml Hamilton Every Face is now the best value, high quality Australian-made face sunscreen in my books at $7/100ml. The two formulas are almost identical, but the Hamilton has a small amount of iron oxides and appear slightly pink – it doesn’t actually tint my face, just blends out invisible.
This is a cosmetically elegant formula that is meant for everyday use, not for swimming or for sports, as it has no water-resistance. Please don’t compare the cost with all purpose family sunscreens for the whole body, because they are not made for the same purpose. This is light, non-sticky and non-greasy, wears beautifully over moisturiser or under make-up – something that you’ll actually want on your face everyday. Those with oiler skin types can skip moisturiser and just use this. There’s a smaller 75g at $7.49 if you want to try before buying the large size.
